Leeupoort Parkrun
The Leeupoort Parkrun is another weekly 5-kilometer run, taking place every Saturday in the town of Leeupoort, about 30 minutes from Bela Bela. The course is a challenging trail run through the mountains, with stunning views and a chance to see local wildlife.
Big-five Marathon
The Big-five Marathon is a unique and challenging event taking place in the Entabeni Game Reserve, about an hour’s drive from Bela Bela. The marathon route winds through the reserve, offering runners the chance to see some of Africa’s most iconic wildlife, including lions, elephants, and rhinos. The marathon is known for its tough terrain and high altitude, but participants are rewarded with unforgettable views and a truly African experience.
